Ozoro Poly’s Olympic size stadium set for commissioning, says registrar

The Delta State Polytechnic, Ozoro’s Olympic size stadium built through internally generated revenue by the rector, Dr. Jacob S. Oboreh, with the support of Governor Author Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State, will be commissioned on December 1, 2016 at Ozoro, Isoko North Local Council area of Delta State.

The 14,000 sitting capacity stadium has a standard football pitch, flood lights for night events and eight lane tracks for athletics tracks event, commentary box with public addressing system, full roof covering appropriately sealed, 139 toilets and 52 urinary spread within the stadium.

It also boasts 15 well furnished dressing rooms with showers, V.I.P lodge air conditioned and furnished and well spaced environment for car park.

Speaking on the infrastructural development of the school, the Institution’s Registrar, Mr. Samuel O. Onaibre, said other projects recently completed through Dr. Jacob S. Oboreh’s administration and would be commissioned by the governor include a model banking and finance department, wheel balancing/alignment workshop for centre for entrepreneurship Education, upgraded/restructured Delta State Polytechnic Ozoro main gate, fire-fighting truck and backup truck, two-kilometre campus roads and laboratory building for science technology department.

Mr. Onaibre, who said that the school gone through a remarkable infrastructural development under the leadership of Dr. Jacob S. Oboreh, attributed the successes to the support of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa.
